2015: The Apple Watch is Coming to Town

The Apple Watch is coming next year and Apple lovers everywhere can hardly wait.  Apple corporation seems to have claimed the leading edge with so many technological advancements, that it is no surprise they would introduce the world’s first computerized, customizable watch. One might be surprised they would introduce it so far in advance, since competitors will be following close behind. However, it is a traditional Apple preemptive move, to ensure the world they are still the first one out the gate, setting standards and developing practical products that everyone will want to use.
Unlike the digital watches that took the sporting world by storm a couple decades ago, the Apple watch has three models and even the sportiest model can be worn as a casual-to-dressy accessory. It truly is an exciting new product. In fact, it contains so many functions and features, it is possibly the most innovative product to come along in over a decade.

Three Different Collections Can Be Customized

There are three different designs that should appeal to all types of wristwatch wearers. Apple Watch, Apple Watch Sport and Apple Watch Edition can all be ordered in two different sizes: 38 mm and 42 mm. The watch’s materials includes silver anodized aluminium, stainless steel and 18-carat rose or yellow gold.
The elastomer sports band is used for the Apple Watch Sport and is designed in the style of the popular Milanese Loop. The other available bands are the stainless steel mesh,  the Leather Loop in a quilted leather, the leather Modern buckle and the stainless steel link bracelet.
There are currently 11 watch dials (faces) from which to choose and each one can be customized. The faces range from traditional analog to more modern appearances like the Astronomy face, the Solar face and the Timelapse face. According to Apple, there are millions of potential configurations.

It is a Precision Timepiece

The Apple watch promises to be as accurate and precise as some of the more expensive Swiss-made timepieces. The Digital Crown is the company’s latest technology and allows ease in scrolling, zooming and navigating. Users will be able to send and receive messages and answering calls that come in to your iPhone.
The iOS that was developed is specifically designed for the smaller technology and is contained on a single microchip. The features are so sophisticated, there is a function that can discern the difference between a tap and a press, so it won’t get confused by the finger pressure of the user. Apple is encouraging third-party app developers to continue to develop the latest and greatest additions to this timepiece, which will give users expanded customization and usage as time goes on.

Leading Edge Activity App

The latest in activity apps, this new iWatch app is said to be able to motivate its wearer and encourage activities throughout the day. It also includes an accelerometer, heart-rate sensor, GPS and Wi-Fi from your iphone. It can measure how many calories were burned, how many times the user stood up during the day and it can help select goals and pacing for cardiovascular workouts and activities.

Pricing

The watch is expected to make its debut in early 2015 at a starting price of approximately $349 and it will be compatible with the iPhone 5, iPhone 5c, iPhone 5s, iPhone 6 Plus, which are running iOS 8 or later. Within the next three-five months, we will see an enormous demand grow, which is one of Apple’s standard marketing techniques. The company is masterful at creating demand before production.
The Apple watch is coming and for most Apple lovers, it is not soon enough. The world is waiting to see where this new line of technology leads us.
