Catamaran is a ship or boat with two hulls joined by a frame.  Tamilnadu, India was were catamaran was first produced and the name was derived from Tamil language in India. Ancient catamaran made by two separate logs joined together were being used mainly for fishing but was later modernized and turned into a sailing or cruising boat.
Modern manufacture of catamarans as a high speed sailing boat has made some of its features to be unique and it includes the twin rudders, fore stay bridle, flat full length battens mainsail and two engines.  This type of catamaran is good for an area where high speed boat is permitted.

Whatever purpose you want to use the catamarans, your purse determines what you get.  However, if you don’t have enough funds to buy a new one, there are agents that sell used ones and you could take advantage of a brokerage company.
