The concept works like this. The en-suite sky garage is a couple of hundred feet of space reserved for your luxury auto within the apartment. You simply drive to your building and into the elevator which identifies the apartment the luxury auto belongs to. The elevator then transports the car to your apartment where you can simply pull into the allotted garage space within your home, doesn’t matter how high you live.
Luxury Accommodation for your Car
A novel idea, it is fast catching on in cities like New York and Singapore. New York now boasts of 14 en-suite sky garages in a 16-floor building in an elite location which celebrities have taken up. Of course, the apartments come with a huge price tag – about $ 10 million – making it one of the most luxurious accommodations you can hope for.
In Singapore, a thirty store building with 56 units offers luxury accommodation for your four-wheeler. The elevator, which is activated with the help of a bio-metric scan, allows you to park your auto right in your home. The sprawling apartments meant for the super rich, encompass more than 2700 square feet of space with a host of luxury amenities. Residents can enjoy the lounge area, barbeque area, swimming pool and Jacuzzi.
Miami's known for beachfront luxury and they are not far behind when it comes to accommodating your luxury four wheeler. A 57-storey beachfront tower in Miami has glass elevators so that you enjoy the panoramic views of the sea or the city as you travel up to your apartment sitting in your car. Now that’s what we’d call the height of luxury in the real sense. Your panoramic journey in the glass elevator would take approximately a minute to ninety seconds.
Gauging from the huge demand for en-suite sky garages from the moneyed class, you can safely say that this innovative concept is here to stay.
