Differentiating Between Fake And Authentic Watches
In order to make sure you are buying authentic watches, it becomes necessary that you buy your watch from a reputable store; it would be disheartening to spend a huge amount of money on a time piece that turns out to be fake. It is no longer surprising to find counterfeits of almost every item in the market, including watches. If you have a very good eye, whether it is citizen watches you settle for or any other type of reputable luxury watches, you will be able to detect some of the flaws that are visible on the fake watches. The first area you have to look at is the embellishment.
The crystals used in embellishing authentic watches are normally coated so that the level of reflection is minimized. This is not the case with the counterfeits since when viewed from various angles, you see them exhibiting large amounts of reflections. Now we get to the logos on the watches. In various luxury watches, ranging from Cartier watches to a swiss watch, the brand logos are usually stamped on the crowns of the wristwatches or have precious stones embedded on them and makes them embossed. As for the counterfeits, the brand logos are laser etched and lacks embossment. For those that are embellished with precious stones, such stones are not original crystals but glass-like embellishments that lack the sparkles associated with true crystals.
