Automobile For The Wealthiest People

A lot of people argue that the rich are so different from you and me, but to a large extent, they are exactly like you and me. Take a look at the kinds of automobiles driven by some of the wealthiest people on earth, and then you might have a rethink.
Bill Gates
Bill Gates is one of the richest men in the world and owns two Porsches: a 1999 Porsche 911 Convertible and a 1988 Porsche 959 Coupe. Gates was unable to drive the 1988 Porsche 959 for around ten years, due to it not meeting emission standards and unknown crash test ratings. This did not linger on as President Bill Clinton was able to repeal this, when he signed a federal law in 1988 that allowed Gates drive his rare and prized Porsche on the road for the first time.
On the contrary, Jenry Seinfeld, who’s a comedian, got the Porsche 959 for $700,000.
Warren Buffett
Warren Buffet is on the list of richest men in the world and a friend of Bill Gates. He owns a 2001 Lincoln Town Car with a License plate that reads “Thrifty”.
The car was auctioned on eBay for $73,200 by Buffet. The car is worth $11,200, and Buffet made some profits off the auction. The proceeds was then donated to the Girls, Inc., a nonprofit organization that offers educational program for girls,
Larry Ellison
The owner of Oracle Software, Larry Ellison owns a 2006 Bentley Continental Flying Spur, asides his Russian MiG fighter jet and an American Cup racing yacht. The car was totally built for his comfort, with the interior design made out of eleven cow hides. The wood interior paneling is made out of firm walnut. All said, this car is one the world’s fastest production four-door automobile.
Steven Ballmer
Steven Ballmer is the current CEO of Microsoft and he prefers Lincoln just like Warren Buffet. He drives in a 1988 Lincoln Continental, remaining true to his Motor City roots (having his father work for Ford Motor Company for 30 years).
Ingvar Kamprad
Ingvar Kamprad is the owner of IKEA and ranks among the first ten richest men in the world. He has a modest life style, which is evident in his 14-year old Volvo 240 GL and he still rides bus in his native country Sweden.
Alice Walton
Alice Walton is Wal-Mart’s heiress and has got a couple of cars here and there, but she prefers driving in large trucks. She currently owns a 2006 Ford F-150 King Ranch.
