Safaris – The Luxury Holiday In Africa

At one time it will have only been the very rich who would have been able to afford a safari, but nowadays they are more readily available to a wider section of society. While they are still luxury holidays there are more people going on them and more options opening up.
For a short break there is the option of a flying safari. A travel agent will have all the details of everything that is available but there is one that allows you to see parts of Southern Tanzania In a way that most people will never see it. Some of the most amazing animals can be seen at Selous – this is the biggest protected wildlife reserve in Africa  and you can view them either by jeep or boat. Now there is a new way to visit and that is by plane.  To make sure that the safari is as exciting as possible, you will sleep in a domed tent and you cannot get much closer to the animals than this. This will not be the ideal safari for someone who has never been on one before, but if you have tried other luxury holidays in Africa and been on traditional safaris, then this will be the obvious natural progression.
The 4 day safari is a great way to see much of the land and as long as you allow extra days to get to the starting point, you will not miss a minute of the excitement. Once you arrive in Dar es Salaam There will be arrangements in place to take you to Selous National Park And it is here that the luxury holiday really starts. You will be escorted to the Selous Riverside Camp and allowed to relax for the first day – you will probably need this to allow you to get used to the heat!! You will spend this night in the Selous Riverside Camp and then travel the next day to the Selous National Park. You will spend the next three days here looking at the beautiful animals and taking part in all the activities that have been arranged.
You will then be on the return leg of your trip where you will have another night at the Selous Riverside Camp before being taken back to Dar es Salaam Where you can spend a night in the beautiful Serena and reflect on the wonders you have seen before making your way back home.
