Defining Luxury Travel


The present generation believes in doing things on the spur of the moment. When it comes to travel, international luxury tours interspersed with short weekend trips are the norm. Despite the failing economy, there are many who have disposable income; not to forget the millionaires and billionaires of the world. Most, for whom money is not an object, will opt for luxury tours and travel. The luxury traveler wants the best, whether it is service or comfort and of course, he or she also has the means to get their desires.
 Luxury travel defined
 Luxury travel is often associated with exotic locations, five star hotels, fine dining at top class starred hotels, traveling first class or sailing on expensive private yachts with crew to cater to your every need, and generally spending a huge sum of money on the experience. Defining luxury travel however, might not be as straightforward as it appears. Each person perceives the idea of luxury travel differently.
 Of course, the luxury traveler prefers oceanfront views to garden views and will choose a hotel suite over a deluxe room. The luxury traveler expects a certain standard of service for the high rates he pays. However, some people will tell you that luxury travel is certainly more than traveling like a millionaire; it is all about enjoying rare and memorable experiences that our world has to offer.
 Today the hospitality industry believes that the concept of luxury depends on the customer’s view point. For some people luxury travel might be getting away from their tedious work routine to someplace peaceful and quiet, while others might want to relax and enjoy a spa treatment at an exotic ocean resort.
 Travelling in luxury is the capability to do what you like when on a holiday without being on a clock. It is not only about indulging yourself, but enjoying a new experience while on a vacation. A discerning traveler is ready to spend lavishly for the personalized service and special experiences that the tour operator offers.
Luxury travel is not about just being a tourist at some exotic destination, it also means savoring a new experience and absorbing the new culture without sacrificing the convenience and comforts being offered.  Finally, it is all about our own perception of luxury travel and how we would like our vacation experience to be. Perhaps, your idea of luxury travel is indeed traveling business class to an exotic locale with five star hotel accommodation. So, just chill!
