Discovery Bay – One Of Barbados’ Exclusive Resorts

Discovery Bay – One of Barbados’ Exclusive Resorts

Not all luxury hotels have to be extravagant in design and if you want to visit the area around Holetown then the Discovery Bay on St James Beach will be an ideal place to stay. With an all-inclusive deal you will know that once you arrive all the money you have taken can be spent on treats for yourself and not on essentials such as food. If you want to just book a room this is also possible. Travel agencies will be able to give you all the information you need.
If you want to wander around the area you can spend your time either soaking up the rays as you stroll along the beach, or enjoy the environment of the landscaped gardens. If you want to cool down you have the choice to do this in the sea or the swimming pool. The place is so peaceful and you can easily combine travel and leisure.
There are 88 rooms at the hotel and all of them have air conditioning -  a must most of the time – a TV, fridge, drink making facilities, telephone and you will have a balcony or terrace. Obviously they are all en-suite. When looking out of your room you will either be looking at the gardens or out over the beach. If you think you will be spending a lot of time in the room you could upgrade and have a Beachfront Club room as this also has a seated area.
When it comes to eating you can choose from a number of restaurants and each will provide you with a different type of cuisine.
The Garden Restaurant – you can choose from buffet style to table d’hôtel.
Aquarium – sit and enjoy seafood next to the sea.
Lobby Bar – no food, but plenty of drinks and of an evening you will be entertained.
Sugarbird Bar and Grill – drinks and snacks at the beach.
Although you will be classed as all-inclusive there are a number of items that you may have to buy, but you will be guaranteed a full breakfast, lunch, tea and dinner. All the locally produced drinks including house wine is included.
St on the west coast of Barbados there is plenty to see and while transport around the island is not expensive there are number of tours where the resort will arrange the transport. You can go to Harrison's Cave and Garrison Savannah Barbados  and you will not waste a lot of time getting to and from the resort as the airport is only 16 miles away.
