Splendid Places To Visit When In South Africa (Pt. 2)

Upon successful hosting of the FIFA World Cup in 2010,South Africa Enjoyed more popularity and there was a hike in wealthy individuals considering it as a destination for holiday and business. Cities in South Africa Are basically not cheap places to be in, especially for visitors and it is important to come along prepared. That’s not to say there are no cheap places, however it’s a game of different strokes for different folks.
Here is a list of some of the most breath taking places to visit while in South Africa. I must say that visits of this nature should be properly planned for average people or else leave it to the wealthy folks:
1. Knysna
Knysna is a town in the middle of the garden Route and sure deserves a notable mention. It’s such a wonderful place to have fun, relax, take some great meals and we advise a stop by. A lot of artists are attracted to this town in light of its lovely views and relaxing atmosphere. Knysna Heads is a location that appeals to both artists and water sports lovers. The presence of a lagoon, offers “wave jumping” fun and it’s known for its wonderful sunsets.
2. Stellenbosch
Stellenbosch is the second oldest town in South Africa And was established in 1679. It’s a town that boasts 44 cellars via its incredible wine route. You’re sure to find a wide array of wines in this area, thus it is classified as ‘Cabernet country’ and my best is Pinotage. Travelling from one cellar to the next would reveal the visitor friendliness of the area. There’s a signpost on each cellar’s entrance, with many of them offering tours, great lunches in their picturesque gardens or restaurants. Getting yourself in the drinking mode isn't going to be much of a difficulty here.
3. Oudtshoorn
Oudtshoorn is worth taking a trip to when in South Africa. If you ever had a dream to one day ride on an ostrich, then Oudtshoorn is the right place to visit. People say it’s the Ostrich Capital of South Africa and sure means you can ride on one or just sample their eggs. You’ll get ostrich eggs for breakfast (with the eggs normally showing off as large and rich in flavor). Meat-eaters would enjoy the ostrich sausages and steaks that are also being offered.
4. Durban
Durban Is the third largest city in South Africa And is one of the friendliest places in the country. It is known for its ‘Golden Mile’ which outlines a string of beaches filled with surfers (the waters are shark free). You’ll be able to find a variety of hotels, pubs, restaurants, shops and the Marine World Aquarium if you head to the Durban’s promenade. With a large Indian community, you would find an array of temples, exotic shops, mosques and restaurants offering tasty Indian cuisine in Durban.
South Africa Is thus a luxury destination for wealthy folks who’re trying to get themselves a pleasant break in Africa. It offers a fine blend of modern and traditional African life.
