If you want to have an ideal base to see all that Beijing has to offer then one of the best places to stay will be the Novotel as it is situated in the middle of the Wangfujing shopping area and the large entertainment centre.

Standard Room – this has either a King sized bed or 2 singles and is of course en-suite. There is an area to work in case you are here on business and also a TV, internet, safe, drink making machine and hairdryer, air conditioning, smoke alarms and dead bolts.
Superior room – this is the same as the Standard room but it offers amazing views as they are on the upper floors of the hotel.
When you are on the Executive Floor, you will have all that the other rooms have to offer but in addition you have use of the Lounge and breakfast from there.
When you have a Suite then you really get looked after. There is a lounge and with this you get access to the Premier Lounge.
All rooms can have 24 room service and they will be provided with hot or cold snacks. If you are eating in you will have the following options.
Citrus – this is where you can have buffet style meals and all three daily meals can be taken here, all with an international flavour.
The Coffee Shop offers meals 24 hours a day and here the speciality is Sunday brunch.
For authentic food you can eat at the Tang Palace Restaurant where there is a wide range of Cantonese and Hong Kong cuisine. The Dim Sum is well known and 15o can eat at a time.
The Kitaya Restaurant is a Japanese eating place and the specialities here are curries and as with many Japanese places, sushi.
After eating you can stay in the hotel and be entertained as the Galleria Bar provides music and snacks just in case you have not eaten enough
